It was Friday. Our 1985 Toyota Celica GT-S was at a race track. This, alone, seemed like an accomplishment. We slaved hard for that last week to make this happen, and our race car was sitting amongst other race cars, ready to go to tech inspection.
I secured a 1985 Celica GTS for our LeMons team. Our next task was to prepare the car for the race. The day after bringing the car home, the 17 year old and I proceeded to remove everything we could from the interior.
I thought I would provide an update on the current status of all of the cars in the NMC garage (mostly so I can look back and say “Oh yeah, I already did that” next year when I go to perform miscellaneous tasks).
I spent Sunday continuing the suspension installation on the 1972 LeMans, with just the left rear corner left to do. I went into this task thinking that this shouldn’t take very long at all but knowing I would be lucky to finish on this rainy Sunday.
